Independence Day in the Salt Lake Valley!

Looking for ways to celebrate the 4th of July this Summer? Well, look no further! Independence Day is one of the most widely celebrated holidays in Utah and there are fun activities around the corner in just about every neighborhood. Look through the list below to catch up on the state's upcoming celebrations and then pick out your favorites to go check out. And remember, you can hit up as many celebrations as you want! Because one of the best things about Summer is that no matter how many firework shows you see, they never get old :) Enjoy!


Utah Symphony Patriotic Concerts: Sundance and Thanksgiving Point

The Utah Symphony takes patriotic music on the road with outdoor concerts in late June and early July.

  • Patriotic Celebration Sundance Resort: Friday, June 28, 2013, 8 p.m., tickets $18
  • 1812 Overture at the Deer Valley Music Festival: Saturday, June 29, 2013, 7:30 p.m., tickets $45-65
  • Utah Symphony at the Waterfall, Thanksgiving Point (followed by fireworks): Wednesday, July 3, 2013, 8 p.m., tickets $10-$25


 July 3rd At The Canyons
Are you ready to start your Independence Day one day early? If so, then head to Canyons Resort's July 3rd celebration with live music by The Soulistics followed by a huge fireworks display. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Resort Village with the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Oakley Rodeo and 4th of July Celebration

Enjoy an old-fashioned Western 4th of July in the charming small town of Oakley, about 35 miles east of Salt Lake City in Summit County. Oakley has only 1,000 residents, but the grounds for its popular rodeo seat 6,000. PRCA Rodeo nightly July 3-6, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. Fireworks each night. 


Sugar House Fireworks

The Sugar House Park fireworks are Salt Lake's most popular 4th of July fireworks. Community fair begins at 12 p.m., music and entertainment go from 5-8 p.m., and fireworks begin at dusk.

Liberty Days at This is the Place Heritage Park

Liberty Days at This is the Place includes events for all ages, including games and crafts for little ones.

Stadium of Fire and America's Freedom Festival in Provo

Kelly Clarkson and Carly Rae Jepson perform for this year's Stadium of Fire, Utah's most spectacular fireworks show and patriotic musical celebration, held at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo.
Provo's 4th of July festivities also include a parade and other community events.
Stadium of Fire July 4, 8 p.m.
Freedom Festival Parade July 4, 9 a.m. (Bleacher seats available for $7.)
Community events free, Stadium of Fire $25-$120.


4th of July Celebration at Eaglewood Golf Course

July 3rd will be the annual fun and fireworks at the Eaglewood Golf Course.  Enjoy booths, games, food…. day and night on Wednesday.  Fireworks will start lighting up the sky at 10 pm!
