Creation & Erasure: Art of the Bingham Canyon Mine

May 30 - September 28, 2014

The largest man-made excavation on Earth, and a high-profile Utah industrial enterprise, Bingham Canyon Mine has since its earliest days also inspired artists from around the country. More than 100 paintings, drawings, and photographs trace the mine's physical development and effects on the economy and culture. Together they present a range of perspectives, from awe at the grandeur of industry to concerns about land use. An interactive gallery allows visitors of all ages to explore more deeply the science, history, and art of the mine through hands-on installations. CLICK HERE for more information.
