Want S'MORE?
Melted chocolate and warm
marshmallows sandwiched between two graham crackers will always be delicious,
but sometimes it can be fun to play with the classic combination.
In honor of National S'mores Day (Sunday August 10th) and before you head back to school, find that one last morsel of summertime enjoyment!
Here are a few simple ideas for alternative s’mores below
Lemon meringue
For a tangy citrus
treat, coat a graham cracker with lemon curd for a campfire version of lemon meringue
pie.
Chocolate mint
Melted mint chocolate
goes great with gooey marshmallow for a tasty treat that has the added benefit
of giving you good breath. Also try a York Peppermint Patty!
Strawberry banana
It is a fact of life that chocolate, bananas and strawberries always taste wonderful together. That is still true when you add a warm marshmallow and graham crackers into the equation.
White chocolate berry
Swap the traditional milk chocolate for white chocolate and then top it with any mix of berries, like blueberries or raspberries, before smothering it with a toasted marshmallow for a fruity snack.
Candy Bar Creations
Instead of using plain Hershey's Chocolate, try using a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, Snickers Bar, Milky Way, Crunch Bar, Hershey's Special Dark or any other candy bar you can think of!
Crackers and Cookies
Try changing out the graham cracker with chocolate graham crackers, cinnamon graham crackers or any other cookie combinations you can think of!
Triple chocolate
Maximize your
chocolate intake by using chocolate graham crackers and a chocolate marshmallow
to accompany the classic chocolate square.
